Standards of Evidence Survey

Self-Rating against the ‘What Works’ Standards of Evidence

The ‘What Works’ Standard of Evidence survey is a self-assessment survey allowing organisations to assess their delivery against their chosen outcomes.

The Social Research Unit at Dartington set us the brief of creating a survey that didn’t feel like a long web form and that provided an interactive learning experience for users.

The survey, built with Ruby on Rails, takes users through a learning journey where they answer a range of questions grouped into criteria. A ‘learning pane’ is available for each criteria explaining more about the questions to the user and giving advice on how to answer them.

Once completed a user is given a star rating for the intervention they have assessed as well as some advice on how to improve.
